today i met another guy who thought singapore was in china. and i've lost count the number of people who have complemented me on my "perfect english" and were amused that i actually spoke english back home. the thing i hear most often being said to me is "you speak amazing english!" honestly! -shakes head.
but like Prime Minister Lee said just recently at DHS's anniversary dinner, dunman high students are "effectively billingual" hahaha. have to brush up on my mandarin :D

yar! you know this whole "bilingual" education thing, we really don't know how "useful" it is until we go overseas and see people being "impressed" by us! ha ha (and it wasn't even like our choice to pick up two languages and attempt to be effectively bilingual..lol)
